The Oakleaf: Summer Issue NOW ONLINE!
The Summer issue of The Oakleaf is available online now! With articles written by Committee Chairs, Chapter leaders, and many of our Members, you’ll get news from across the Supply Community. Our cover stories shine the light on new Board Member CAPT (ret) Jennifer Lednicky, recently transitioned CAPT (ret) Andy Matthews, and our 2021 Volunteers and Chapters-of-the-Year award winners. We also celebrate our 2022-23 Foundation Scholarship recipients, while thanking the Scholarship Program’s generous donors who make this gift a reality! A few of our young achievers are profiled in this issue.
Speaking of achievers, the Supply Community is full of them! On page 22, LCDR Garrett Bond introduces us to a group of WWII, Korea and Vietnam Veterans in his article on the Honor Flight Program. Then we hear from LCDR (ret) Zenobia Shepherd and learn of RADM Kristin Aquavella’s compassion and kindness in the wake of a family tragedy.
