Navy Supply Corps Birthday Ball
Saturday, March 16th at the Washington Hilton from 1730 - 2200

This year’s theme is Cherry Blossom Spring. Each year, the National Cherry Blossom Festival commemorates the 1912 gift of 3,000 cherry trees from Mayor Yukio Ozaki of Tokyo to the city of Washington, DC. The gift and annual celebration honor the lasting friendship between the United States and Japan and the continued close relationship between the two countries. This year's Cherry Blossom festival runs from March 20th - April 13th, 2019, and what better theme for this year's Supply Corps Ball!

Our keynote speaker is Lieutenant General Bill Welser, USAF, Retired.  LTG (Ret) Welser military career span over 34 years. Currently, he is the President of the Space Coast Honor Flight Board.

Mentoring the Mentee Workshop
Thank you to everyone that attended the Council of Commanders, Mentoring the Mentor workshop.  Supply Corps Officers from the DC region participated in a collaborative discussion with CAPT Wheeler as he provided some valuable knowledge and insight that will assist them as Mentors and as Mentees.  Following the discussion, CDR Ernie Mirandarosari and CDR Monica Tate led the attendees in "role play" mentoring sessions.

2018 Supply Corps Birthday Ball
On behalf of CAPT Milton Troy III, we would like to thank all those who attended this years Supply Corps Birthday Ball. It was an honor to have our Guest Speaker will be Dr. Krewasky A. Salter, (Guest) Associate Curator and Military Historian, at the Smithsonian Institution, National Museum of African American History and Culture (NMAAHC). It was a lovely evening full of smiling faces. We gather each year to pay homage to those who have come before us and those to come. Since February 23rd 1795 the Supply Corps has been ensuring the United States Navy is Ready For Sea and Ready to Fight.

Speed Mentoring
The NSCF-WAC Council of Commanders hosted a Speed Mentoring event.  Thank you to all the mentors that supported this event, the mentees that participated and CDR ElishaSingleton, CDR Rodney Bonner, and CDR Ernie Mirandarosari for planning.

2017 All Calls
On Behalf of Rear Admiral and Mrs. Jonathan A. Yuen, Chief of the Supply Corps and CAPT Milton Troy III, President Navy Supply Corps Foundation Washington Area Chapter, we would like to extend our thanks to CDR Vince Erno and all the 2017 All Calls team from DLA for putting together a fantastic event. The 2017 All Calls Made and Returned Reception was held at the Nationals Park Baseball Stadium and was truly a wonderful evening of camaraderie, friendship, and networking.

Professional Development
NSCF-WAC is bringing you the Professional Development Lunch Series in its commitment to bringing you "3 SHIPs": FriendSHIP, MentorSHIP & PartnerSHIP.
A Supply Corps Flag Officer or Senior Executive Service (SES) will sit down with 5 participants over lunch at the Pentagon. Brown bag lunches will be periodically scheduled throughout the year. This is a great opportunity to gain insight from both our present and former SC community leaders.
